After that course of pure awesomeness an even greater Facebook group was created for photographers from all over the world to come together. To help build each other up, to learn from each other and grow together rather than against each other. In it, little by little the east Pennsylvania photographers started coming together. We made our own group and began to plan a day for all of us to meet.
We all know that when we make plans it never goes accordingly. Out of the fourteen of us, only Kate and I were able to meet. She’s the same one that had referred this West Chester courthouse wedding over to me. So I was super excited that at least she could make it! 😀
She’s such an awesome person and such an awesome photographer, you should really check out her work –> Kate Tandy Photography. It’s so great meeting someone that you have something in common with, especially when it’s such great passion of yours. Someone that understands the love and the struggle for it.
I found myself saying “Oh good, I’m not the only one” quite a lot. 😅 With personal things, school, photography and the business side of it as well. With lots of talking (a little more than half done by me 😳) and gelato from the cutest place ever, Gemelli, we lost a lot of light that could’ve been used for photo taking. Yet, that’s ok because the whole point of getting together and meeting up is to make friends. Especially in a field where it was once thought we were all supposed to be in competition with each other. So hopefully next month more of the Chester County photographers will be able to make it to the meet. 😃
This time however, Kate and I changed the meeting location to somewhere more central to both of us. Let me just say, I wish they could take all of West Chester and relocate it to Florida for when I move. It’s the cutest little town, a collage town actually. Gay St. is the best though, with its old fashioned charm and cutest stores, restaurants and a little bit of everything. Like the gelato! Our night actually ended with us taking photos in the super gorgeous alley of another gelato place, D’Ascenzo’s Gelato. Can never have too much. 😉
In the end, great new friend and great gelato made a great Monday meet. 🙂
